Coming soon…

The writing of my third book has taken longer than expected but I hope the waiting will prove worth it. The book started as a small collection of six stories but as research intensified, along with my enthusiasm, I realised there was a much bigger story longing to be told.
The history of Ireland is fascinating, complicated and sad, and the more I read, the more I want to know about the characters in my story. I find myself leaving footprints on a path that winds through the countryside in County Antrim. I have many questions that need answering, and some of those answers lie hidden in documents on the other side of the world, inside the Public Records Office of Northern Ireland (PRONI).
The documents I seek, date back 150 years or more, to the lives of young men and women caught in a harsh and cruel world. Their choices are limited and their families are poor.
How do they cope? They are a part of history. They are made by history. And they are recorded in history. I want to honour their story, the story of four generations of men who impacted the life of one woman.
